Prowler Spotted in Upper Tyrone

UPDATED: A prowler was spotted in Upper Tyrone Township the morning of March 17.  A stocky, middle aged man sported a crew cut and drove a silver mid-sized SUV.  He drove down a resident’s wooded lane in a very slow stop-and-go manner while carefully looking at everything.  A post by the road at the end of the resident’s lane clearly indicated the house number and had this sign: “Private Drive – Keep Out.”  The property owner, who has been the victim of theft on several occasions, left the house and inquired about the prowler’s business.  The man tried to claim he was “lost,” giving out information that was later verified to be false.  The resident filed a report with the Pennsylvania State Police in Belle Vernon.  If you see someone who appears to be casing your property, call the State Police immediately.
