The committee to review the 2012 IPMC will meet on Tuesday, June the 5th at 6pm at the Upper Tyrone Township Municipal Building. The meeting is a public meeting; those in attendance will have opportunity to address the committee with questions, concerns, and suggestions.

Trash Monopoly Coming to Upper Tyrone?
You may have read about Dunbar’s effort to require all Dunbar residents to have monopolized trash service. (Read about it here.) This is something that the Upper Tyrone Township Supervisors have been considering since 2010. (Read it here.)
Will we be forced to buy broccoli next? Or maybe Brussels sprouts?
I prefer the free market to Crony Capitalism. Do we want Upper Tyrone Township to be like Washington DC?
Man Jailed over Property Maintenance Code

This guy was jailed under the Burnsville, MN Property Maintenance Code… because of his siding. Is this what we want for Upper Tyrone Township? Upper Tyrone still has a property maintenance code on the books. We need to stop this before it starts. Take Action!
The Code Is Still in Their Back Pocket
The supervisors have now publicly said they won’t enforce much of the code. As mentioned in the Courier article, Roger Adams said:

Politicians Are Like Bored Children
Politicians are like bored children who soon get into mischief when they have nothing to do.
First the Nuisance Ordinance (tabled indefinitely, thanks to residents like you who took action).
Now the International Property Maintenance Code.
Next will be Zoning.
We must watch the Supervisors–watch them very closely.
And attend the meetings.
We must help them to mind their own business and stay out of ours.
Can you afford not to eat?
