May Date for Supervisors Meeting Has Been Changed
The May Township Supervisors Meeting will be held at 5:30 PM on Monday, May 14, 2012 at the Township Municipal Building. The change is due to the PSATS Hershey Conference.
McClure Rd and 119 Intersection
Please support the Township Supervisors’ efforts to convince PennDot to open the McClure Rd / 119 intersection back up to four-way traffic and get rid of the triangular divider. Mr Edwards will be going to a PennDot outreach meeting to attempt to work with them. Call 724-887-4359 to see how you can support the Supervisors’ effort. This has gained importance since, as was discussed in the meeting on April 10, the bridge that 119 crosses over Jacob’s creek and the bridge that 819 crosses over 119 will both be under construction through 2013.
Remember the Property Maintenance Code? It’s Back!
The Upper Tyrone Supervisors are still intent on adopting the 2012 IPMC. It was on the agenda at the April meeting as “Unfinished Business.” It would appear that the desire of the residents to be free of such an intrusive code will be ignored by the Supervisors. Continue reading

Trash Monopoly Coming to Upper Tyrone?
You may have read about Dunbar’s effort to require all Dunbar residents to have monopolized trash service. (Read about it here.) This is something that the Upper Tyrone Township Supervisors have been considering since 2010. (Read it here.)
Will we be forced to buy broccoli next? Or maybe Brussels sprouts?
I prefer the free market to Crony Capitalism. Do we want Upper Tyrone Township to be like Washington DC?

It is important that residents of Upper Tyrone Township attend the meetings to stay informed on what is happening in our township.
